OK so here's the deal... When I was in college my BF and I broke up and he was all pissy and started telling people the reason we broke up was because I was into women... Sooooo, one afternoon after classes (and a fatty... :shifty: ) I was chilling out at my apartment where I lived with my new boyfriend and Ricki Lake comes on with a call for "People who want their ex to stop spreading lies about you" So, of course, I call 1-800-GO-RICKI leave my story on the message and promptly forget about it

UNTIL.... A couple weeks later... I actually got a call back from the show's producer with more questions, etc.. So now, I am completely freaked out because by the end of that phone call I have assured them that my current boyfriend will be "Happy to join me on the show and we'd love a free trip to NYC for a couple days..." :unsure: Poor guy didn't know what hit him, but he still agreed to go and vouch that I was very into guys (not very convincing, though :mad: ) but he was a basket case of nerves and did NOT want to be there

So, we all go to NYC. Ex is in a separate (and not nearly as nice) hotel and we are riding around in a limo bigger than Ricki's... The trip happened to fall on my birthday :cool: But, I must say our story was so tame compared to the others on the show, there was almost a brawl (surprise, surprise)... It was an experience I will never forget, but it was very nerve wracking because they try to make things juicier than they really are...

I have it on tape somewhere, I think my grandma and grandpa even have it on tape... :blink: It aired on Valentine's Day and people recognized me all over school the next day... The whole thing was pretty funny, but I don't think I would do it again.... :angel: :w00t:

Nope, lasted about another year after that... Didn't want to end up with a career pizza delivery guy... :blink:
