PITTSBURGH - Actor-comedian Tommy Chong (news) reported to a privately run federal prison to serve his nine-month sentence for conspiring to sell bongs and other drug paraphernalia over the Internet even as his attorneys prepared to argue for his release pending appeal.

Chong, 65, was sentenced Sept. 11 by U.S. District Judge Arthur Schwab in Pittsburgh. He reported Wednesday to a minimum-security facility run for the Federal Bureau of Prisons near Bakersfield, Calif.

BIGSHOW and I went to see him in Lansing, MI for his last show before having to go serve his time. It was a great show and we had seats right up front.

Here is a picture of him and his wife of 30 years. They both put on a pretty good show. Well worth the money.

The Club presented him with a cake and if you can tell, in the center of the cake is not a knife, but a large file.

why would he have to resort to crime? didnt he make enough money with his movies? how stupid.

it is questionable as to crime, he was selling bongs and crap like that over the internet. also keep in mind that most used-to-be actors have blown away all of their income...

Bongs? He went to prison for selling bongs? There are at least 5 stores in a 15 mile radius of where I live that do that. That's just freakin stupid. Meanwhile the crack dealers continue to roam the streets in safety. :thumbs:

yeah, thats stupid. i never knew selling bongs was actually illeagal. like Sirc said theres stores everywhere that sell bongs. in niagara falls at 3/4 of the tourist stores sell bongs and "tabacco pipes" hahaha

hes still an actor, he on that 70s show and he works at a photo hut, lol
