A call for SS demos.....

I don't know how much interest this will generate but....

Since as far as I know no one has done this before, I would like to try and make an SS movie similar to some of the UT movies that are floating around.

I am thinking about a short (5 minutes or less) movie that captures the spirit of SS. Funny stuff, cannon/rocket tricks, unusual stuff, sniping, ownage, whatever. I'd like to incorporate all weapons if possible.

So send me your demos! If you are interested then PM me and I will give you my email address.

Also, please clip your demos to include only the relevant stuff. In otherwords please don't email me a 12 minute demo if the good part is only 10 seconds long. Make a shorter demo of your demo with a little bit of lead in and lead out.

Disclaimer: I give no guarantees as to the quality of the movie. If it sucks, it sucks. :P

BTW, you may want to use Fraps and VirtualDub, both which are awesome for movies. Don't forget we have a demo section on our new homepage and we need to fill it up.

I'll definitely be using Fraps, but probably Ulead VideoStudio 7 for the editing.

Edit: Crap, it was of Player 1. Even though I hit the F7 button while I was in my view. And I hit the F8 button in my view when I finished also.

It&#39;s still good, actually it shows me blowing him away, and my name flashes on the screen.

Maybe I&#39;ll solve this problem by joining servers that are empty..unless someone else has a better idea..

Okay I&#39;ve started my way up the learning curve..... :P

Make sure there is at least 10 seconds before and after the scene in the demo. So 10 seconds before + 5 second (or whatever) scene + 10 seconds after = 25 second demo.

try the 1234+- on the keypad, along with the &#39; to speed it up...

Do you think these would look better if I use 3rd person view?

Edit: Added another one, me killing the same guy twice *who will remain nameless* in about 10 seconds, first with the DB shotgun, then I steal his cannon that he was using, and blow him away with it&#33; Killer scene&#33; :devil:

There is a rare effect that occurs in SS in Fortress and Hole where a fountain of blood literally will appaer in the center of the map. I haven&#39;t seen this happen in a long time though. Don&#39;t know what causes it either.

Also, I think the Villians have some cool demos of players getting blown way of the map by the cannon in RS. That would be a cool addition. :thumbs:

Yeah Fraps rules. I used it to create Vice city Stunts Extreme movie.

I saw blood fountain in Red Station too, I think the gibs must be set to off, if you want to see this.

Well you can record some short movies, and i will merge it, and add effects.

Plus i gonna add some of mine own demos too.
