Jag sais everytime I'm on DAOC it lags down his computer. He sais his gaming is getting lagged and forums/pages load slow. Does anyone know why this is or if there is a game setting I can change so we can coincide? :angel:

What is your up load and download speeds?

You would have to have a really slow broadband connection for that to be true. Go to dslreports.com and check your speed.

So you have a router eh? Sauron and me have the same problem when we both play different games or one is reading the forum and one plays.

If you have broad band Sep ,, you should be fine and both be able to play at the same time :thumbs:

Like Slash says try seing what connection rates your getting. Ada and I have the same sorrt of set up as you two and we manage fine on an adsl :thumbs:

That speed should be fine to have two people playing simultaneously. You might want to reset your router and modem.

But he sais his computer is fine if I play Sam. Why would DAOC slow things down?

try running daoc and have him do a speed test.
it may be that daoc is stealing all the upload...
which means latency for him...

I can attest that DAOC does take a significant amount of bandwidth. This would be especially noticeable in Serious Sam. However, I can play Q3 on one computer while running DAOC on the other with similar speeds results. Tell him to suck it up. :P
