This OS targets businesses more than the home PC. How many businesses upgraded their computers for the big Y2K scare? A LOT. Longhorn will be the next upgrade. This will make Microsoft :D .

Until someone can prove to me that WinXP is safe and secure, I'm gonna stick with Win98. Forget longhorn or any other OS until then for me. :P

Uhmm....how long did it take the average machine to boot?

Try 24 seconds buddy. Slow? No. Try simpler (less active processes).

Old? Well, you pretty much got me on that one. :P

Crappy? My wifes machine hasn't been rebooted in 2 weeks and it's still running fine.


Like I said, the advatages on XP just don't outweigh the risks for me. Everyone has their own opinion though.
