Not that I'm saying those pics are cool or anything but they're using the dolphins for food. It's strange to hear dolphin in a can but it's a different culture. Tuna are just about as big as a dolphin and are killed and canned in supermarkets daily. :hmmm: Do we call that tuna masacre?

Another thought about the hunting seasons here where I live. People killing deer and other animals left and right. That's no different, and lots dont look at is as masacre. Also, it's no different from farms that kill animals for food for that matter. It's just that we dont see the bloodshead from the cows before we buy the ground meat in the supermarket.

 Jim, good job... Btw, how is this photoshopped? That's impossible except for maybe the redness of the water. Jim's link proved that this was not a hoax. Plus the blood of a Dolphin very well may be that color when mixed in with the water of the ocean..

Btw, tuna isn't a mammal.. I don't think tuna stay together in families. The news link said the babies were killed as their mothers were. But I see your point. :bawling:

dolphins are mammals, i have read somewhere that their neurological
systems are advanced more than humans. as for self aware, who knows.
They have put mirrors in front of monkeys, and monkeys have
learned to groom themselves based on the mirrors.... :hmmm:
Mass slaughter of entire families is pathetic. but what the hell, man

If you think those pics are real, then I have some flippers of Nessie that I can sell you for a limited time at half price.

Seriously though, it's simple math. A human body has 6 quarts of blood in it. I'm going to take a conservative estimate and say that those dolphins weighed 500 pounds each. Now let's say that "magicially", 90% of the animal's blood went into the ocean when the fisherman slit their throats(anyone who knows anything about blood from death knows that this is a ridiculously high percentage; but again, I am trying to emphasize). So, since they weigh about twice a normal human; then I am going to say that they would need twice the amount of blood. So, let's say that from each dolphin, there produced 20 liters of blood(which is also ridiculously high; if you've ever gone fishing you know that this is stupidly high).

Now, in order for the sea to change to that color, I would have to say that there would have to be a very, very high concentration of blood in that area. As everyone knows, blood's density is greater than salt water's(not by a lot, by about .015 kg/L), so it sinks and disperses. Now, in that one pick, the diver was up to his neck, so I'm going to again say, conservatively, that the water there is 2 meters deep. In that zoomed out pic of the cove, if the boat is 5 meters long(you can tell this by the zoomed in pic), then the overall area of the cove in the zoomed out shot is approximately 15 meters by 15 meters. So, in order to find the MINIMUM volume of the water in the cove, take 15mX15mX2m, and you get 450m^3.

So, there is a minimum of 450m^3 in that cove shot. Now, in the boat, I would say that there are 20 dolphins. So, if each dolphin produced 20 liters of blood, then that would be 400 liters of blood total, assuming they were all drained in that same spot(which they most likely were not). Now, a single liter has 0.001 m^3 of volume(http://www.bartleby.com/65/li/liter.html). So, 400X0.001= .4m^3 of volume of blood.

Those pics did not come from .088% total volume of blood!!!! Sorry, it would not be that color. And I even took a convservative approach and assumed that every dolphin was slaughtered in the same spot.

Good work, but the pics are real..

Lets assume there are *60* Dolphins and that when you mix a few drops of coloring dye in a glass the entire cup becomes that color..

I know the shade of red looks too bright, but a lot of pictures have visual tricks..

If Slice, Jim, and Lev were serious and thought the pics were real then there real.

Why would they make such an elaborate hoax to make the water seem reder, when those are obviously real dead dolphins.

Who do you think the Miami news got the video from? The same conservation agency that was there to begin with!! Now, if a news station was there and they shot the same scene from another angle, then I would be a believer.

Do you remember when that guy faked "Nessie's neck and head" from Loch Ness? That was ALL OVER the news and all of the papers throughout the world. We know now that it was in fact a fake.

As for you, the sh1t you talk is so thick I can barely read your posts anymore. You don't know a damn thing about dolphins or imo about anything else. Here is a quick education lesson. dolphins.org (http://dolphins.org) Click on Learn About Marine Mammals on the left near the bottom left hand side and educate yourself before you continue to make an ass of yourself. the way i see it is that it is a problem, but no more or less than many
facing us around the world. man individually may exhibit great
intelligence but collectively is a stupid vicious animal. you can view
this through the mass genocides happening continuously around the
world without end. we have had a huge technological revolution,
but still if your neighbor believes differently then that is a good
enough reason to gather your friends, kill him and his family. that
may sound harsh but that is the reality of man. we like to think
that we have over come that in america, but the reality there is
that we are merely the most efficient at killing other people.

as for deer, that is a mixed issue. they no longer have natural predators
(aside from cars) so if left unhunted they will overpopulate and
have problems. sounds sort of like man again...

Monkeys, our very own ancestors, live in rainforests and they are endangered.....could it be *gasp because of the trees people are cutting down.
Mionkey's first dolphins later!
Fine i'll agree that its all real but, What the hell is highly sophisticated have to do with anything, sure dolphins can save drowing victims, but can they really do anything else that most other animals can?......they're animals and they ALL have the right to live. Only if we kill ALL the dolphins then it really matters cuz then thats thousands of years worth of adaptation and genetic code we have lost
BTW, this facility is about a mile away from my home which I have been to numerous times. I also personally know and do business with the great people who run it.
there is a difference between not understanding and just being plain ignorant.....so what have you done for the dolphins slice?

Another thought about the hunting seasons here where I live.* People killing deer and other animals left and right.* That's no different, and lots dont look at is as masacre.* Also, it's no different from farms that kill animals for food for that matter.* It's just that we dont see the bloodshead from the cows before we buy the ground meat in the supermarket.
whats wrong with killing deer? not all of them just some of them.
Nothing really, I was just making a point. Jag hunts also. It makes me sad :bawling: but it's also a way of life and is food to eat.

Er...couldn't wait to read every post. So
sorry if this has already been said.

Japanese did not sign the world treaty so they can
and do legally kill Whales including Dolphins. Some
European countries like The Faroe Islands also.

The pic is real.

Sepra, it is sad but it is the circle of life. We just cannot be greedy. I only take what me and my family can eat. Trust me none of it goes to waste. I want Michigans deer herd to be here forever. I hope that the flipper killing is done humanly and ethicaly if it has to be done at all.
