XP pro Problem

For some reason my brother can only boot into Safe mode.
when he tries to boot into the normal mode it says something about a banned CD key which is not possible. New disk with a new serial#

Is the a way to get around this?

The CD Key may have gotten jacked (stolen, created, guessed, etc). Contact whoever you got that CD key from and demand a new one. :P

option 1---call microsoft if the cd is legit

option 2---call me if you are just tired of microsoft and there tactics (did you lose my number?)

option 3---well what other option can i think of to make it looklike you have some choices :thumbs:

Boot into safe mode and apply "the patch" :shifty:

Well I called Microsoft and they gave me the runaround.
So what I used an "old" key# and it booted just fine.
