I lost a very dear friend today

My beautiful, sweet, gentle dog of nearly 14 years lost her battle with cancer today. She had a tumor removed about 5 months ago but it returned. We had a little success treating her with prednisone but this weekend the tumor started growing very rapidly. Last night, she stopped eating and was showing signs of pain. I took her back to the vet this morning to end her suffering. It was so hard to let my sweet girl go.

It's always sad. The only picture I took with me to college was of my dog. You can always rest with the knowledge that she lived a long, happy life.

My condolences on your loss. I had the same thing happen 2 years ago. I had to make the decision to end my dog Austin’s suffering do to cancer. It was a very hard decision and I cried on the way to and return from the veterinarian’s office. God bless you and yours.
