I can't count the number of times I've seen some idiot scrub a curb or drift into an oncoming lane while using a cell phone. I think people caught using cell phones while driving should be treated as if they are DUI. And be subject to the same penalties.

:blink: Here in Germany it is forbidden by the law using a handy while driving.
Only freaspeak consoles or headsets are allowed.
If someone causes an accident, the penalties are hard and the insurance donīt pay!

You people are weak. I can eat my lunch, talk on the phone, and write stuff down while I drive. Remember the day when carphones exsisted? They actually mounted a phone in the car. How about police and Fire rescue. They used to have to be able to communicate with one hand while driving all the time.
