I remember back when you bought your DVD burner you found software that automatically sized a movie to fit on a 4.8gig DVD. What was the software called?

Just bought a Sony DRU510A.

If you get the DVDXCopy Gold Edition it comes with The standard DVDXCopy and the DVDXCopy Express. The standard make 1 to 1 copies which will span it across 2 disks if it wont fit onto 1 disk. I prefer to use this to make backups ( :oooo: ) of real good movies that I dont want to loose any quality in. I use Express for kids movies and chick flicks etc and it compresses it to fit on 1 disk. The qualitly is still awesome when it is comressed.

I was trying to decide between the gold and platinum editions. I'm not sure I'd ever use the extra features that the platinum version offers. But then again I always like to get the best.

Still deciding...... :hmmm:

I would get the Gold. Not sure why they say that about copying in less then an hour with the Platinum. That has to do with your burner speed. I can read a disk in about 10-15 minutes and burn a full disk in 30 minutes on 4X and I use the Gold.

from what I hear Gold is the more reliable/less buggy of the two

I've got "evaluation versions" of DVDXCopy DVDXCopy Xpress and DVDXCopy Platinum

lemme know if you wanna "evalutate" one of them
