I've seen that happen on the highway before. Fullsize pickup had it's front end caved in big time. Man, that would really ruin your day (not to mention the deer's). The weird thing was the freakin deer was throw a long way, and then got back up and ran off. Amazing. I'm sure it had fatal injuries though.

My wife had a deerhit about 3 years ago, in georgia. Not that uncommon
here, the deer managed to leave although i don't see how it could have
survived. the only proof left behind was a patch of hair wedged in a crack...

they don't help when deer will dart out of trees from the side, you get no advance warning at all....

That's why you give them 1 or 2, like lough exhaust and/or loud music :wootrock: Works for me :D

I've had a run-in with a deer. It's no fun. Came out of the trees on a curve downhill. I was going about 50. Hit the front right quarter panel and knocked her butt off (literally). I was shaken up because I only saw a flash of it before I hit. I wasn't completely sure it wasn't a person.

I never got my '93 626 repaired. The fur was in it until the day I dropped my transmission and clutch in the middle lane of a 3-lane freeway one early morning about 2 years ago.

Moral of the story: If you live in an area where deer roam, get some deer warning whistles. They mount on your front fender and are not in the human audible range. Never had a problem after my wife and I installed them.
