F**KIN ROCKS!
this totally replaces Gran turismo on my favorite racing games list.
cars are compleatly customizable, body kits, spoilers, neons, rims, tires, intake, exhaust, turbos, NOS, even rods and cams! all kinds of different stuff with real companys like greddy, viper, HKS and toyo. its has enough play modes that you wont get bored with it for a long time. theres lap racing, point to point racing, street drag racing, drifting, free ride and elimination. its pretty much all about street racing so you wont see any vauxhall VX220 turbos or lamborghini diablos, but there is Volkswagen GTI, honda civic, mazda RX-7, toyota supra and all kinds of stuff like those.
awsome game, must go play more....

oh ya, it has online play to

5/5 pirates!

Is there a demo? And do you need a joystick or steering wheel setup to play it right?

EXEcution

DEMO! (http://www.pcgameworld.com/details.php/id/4670)
And it might support both but they are not REQUIRED as in any other game!

it is by far better than midnight club 2.

i use a playstation style controller with it, it works really good. i even tryed hooking up my PS2 force feedback steering wheel to it and it actually worked! w00t! (controler still works better though)

I AM THE DRIFT KING! :wootrock:

Sounds awesome. Better than Gran Turismo? Wow! I always thought NFS graphics were a bit cartoony. Physics were way off also but still a great series.

This game is neat, my dad has the cd(s), and I might have him burn one(them) for me to play, but I might have to turn the graphics down...
My dad has a really fast lap top, and has the graphics all the way loaded(If your stupid, heres a translation, there as high as they can)

Edit: Thanks to Death Engineer, I noticed I put wall, instead of way...

Nice graphics and was fun. Still just doesn't seem the same without pedals and a steering wheel. One of these days I'll break down and buy a set.

The demo is pretty cool, but it won't let me play online. :bawling:

When I try to setup an account it keeps telling me the name is already taken. I even tried using random letters and numbers and it still won't work. :bandhead:

After getting this game, I have to say that it has some real potential in the fun factor area. I have worked my way up to race 50/111 and am now driving a Celica.

The graphics are superb and the driving is what you would expect from NFS by now: a little unrealistic. I do have to take a shot at the levels though. The scenery doesn't change much. Once you've seen the first 4-5 levels, you've seen pretty much all the eye candy (besides new cars). The fact that you can't go off the track is a major downside as well.

I think I have to agree with BTW on this one. MCII just has too much on this one. The nitrous effect is much cooler and the feeling of moving fast is more effective.

The music in both games gets annoying though.

Last comment: The interface needs some work. All this backspace, left/right arrow business needs to be implemented more simply into mouse control (wheel perhaps?).

I agree that NFSU has better graphics, but on the console versions (PS2 especially) it kinda looks like your car is in focus but everything else is totally blurred -- kinda like the dream sequences in the original Max Payne ...ewwww!

MC II also has a better feeling to the cars, they feel kinda permanentally skiddy in NFSU, plus MC II of course has the free roaming and all those jumps in races, plus three cities and a track editor.

But I'm not bashing NFSU too much. Its a good game.

Nice. I just upgraded from my RX-7 to a Skyline. I've never even heard of it, but it's apparently one of the fastest cars in the game.

i played an older version of this game and thought it rocked then. i am glad to see they are still making them. now is this game multi player? i have the ms steering kit which is alot of fun and wouldnt mind getting this game if others were also. i get bored quick so if it's not a multi player game, forget it.

solid snake295
12-18-2003, 08:18 AM
yep, its multi player. personally i find using a controler is easier than a steering wheel, maybe its just because im so damn good at playstation
