Here are the specs I found on my mb. Would jumping from a 2000 to a 2600 be that big of a boost?

nah, don't do it. i think you are fine until the 64s become cheap next summer.
your rig should handle pretty much anything until then, unless you really want to blow some cash...

salv, yes the boost would be big and also regarding jims suggestion :P the reason i suggest the 2600 is because you can buy for under 100 bucks. thats alot cheaper than buying a new system and also would not requir you to do a clean install.

now i am concerned if the kt333 supports the fsb of 333. some did with bios update but some don't.

now considering that you can buy an nforce2 board and 2600xp chip for 160 dollars you may want to do that if you want dual channel.

as far as buying the amd64, i am not referring it to anyone right now because to much confusion right now. i will suggest that in january because the chips are being changed abit to work with 939 pin out for dual channel. i will explain more when i get full and true details.

other than that your sysytem will fly.

if your board can not run 333 fsb, you should still consider atleast a 2400 xp chip which runs at 2ghz. the 2600 xp runs at 2 ghz also but with 333 fsb.

Well my 3D Mark2001 score went from around 7000 to 12453. Still seems kind of low so I'll have to start doing some tweaking next.
