spiderman was marvel comics, the others were dc.
marvel had always concentrated on the human and troubled
relationships of its characters.
examples being spiderman, hulk, fantastic 4, dr strange...

Well, I must admit Doctor Octopus looks pretty cool, I am glad they chose him for the villan this time. The rest of the movie.....ehhh....we'll wait and see.

btw, the cgi looks better in this one, and the dr. looks pretty badass,
although they probably didn't consider that if his octopi pick up a car,
then his back & legs have to be able to hold up 2500 lbs, but then
physics has never been a strong point of movies...

Thinking about it, ever since X-Men back in 2000, the movie studios have crammed these "superhero" movies down our throats time and time again. And there is even more to come!
-The Punisher
-Man-Thing(not Swamp Thing, but similar in some regard...)
-Fantastic Four(I think it's in pre-production though...)
And probably some others, these are the only ones I can think on the top of my head....
