anyone have a program thay...

will search your pc for multiple copies.


example; i want to do a search on a particular drive to see if there are more than 1 copy of the same program or file. i know win98 has a program but i am using ntfs. is there a newer version i am missing or is there another program others maybe using.

How about just do a search all files and folders for the file name... That should bring up everything and you could use the * for your wildcard...

Here is a shareware program that I have been using for a while. I didn't realize it until you asked that it will also find duplicate files . I tested it for this option and it worked great. You can donwload it here.

It is a much better file finder than the one supplied with Windows.

ok, that program did the trick and just cleaned about 1 gig worth of crap from my ftp. thanks everyone.
