Get one of those plug in phone jacks.. that use electrical outlets and allows you to use the phone line anywhere there is a plug.

or get 25' phone line and run it over the floor, you can usually squeeze it
in between the carpet and the moulding to hide much of it...

i have 2 25 foot phone lines, but no connector for them.

There are 2 phone jacks nearby. One of them is completely obliderated (Damn Cat) , and the other is in use by the Directv.

they have phone line connectors, should be about $3 at wal-mart, you
plug a phone cable into each end.
or you can get a new phone jack, $3-$5 at walmart. get the same type,
(wall mount, baseboard mount, whatever)
connect the old wires to the same color wires, screw it in and you are good to go.

Just get a long cord.
Its not that hard and they're cheap.
If i could see the layout of you house it would be easier to tell just exactly what you need...
