why i am lagging on all servers?
my best ping was 200 on all those servers, but if i am lucky. in game with 4 - 9 players i have 700 - 1300 ping, thats not fair :bandhead:
I have 256KB/s DSL
maybe i need to change options, max rate or anything else????

try specifying dialup when going into the servers, it sends less info,
may help with the connection.
(your problem is probably not with the dsl, but with the internet connection
'backbone' that runs from your isp to the states, it may be optimized to
send large blocks of data fast, but have problems with small packets)

I have what I believe to be the best internet connection
going but It's still no better than when I had 56k.
I've just learnt to live with the Euro connection speeds.
Sorry Hybrid but this is probably as good as your going
to get :WTF:

I'm no expert on that sort of stuff Hybrid. All I can tell you is
that i have tried a whole load of stuff and it's still basically the
same.
Jim: Yes mostly the Euro servers are better

Yeah, the best I usually can shoot for is about 300 to 400. Completely not cool, but I attribute it to the fact that a lot of the servers are over in Europe...maybe. Wrong person to ask because I've only been playing multiplayer sam for a couple weeks. Been having a great time though.

That won't explain the lag spikes on your Hud but it would explain some of the problems you are having. When I went from a 900mhz duron to with a 64 mb video card to a 2400 athlon and a 128mb video card a lot of the jerkiness and lagginess went away, especially in Yodeler.
