It's not the location of the key. It's the 10 second (no move) lag
you get every time you take a screenie :bandhead:

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about too. Although not nearly as bad as 10 sec for me. More like 2-3sec. I only take screenshots of scores after I've been fragged unless I need to for a game post. Sorry, Jiminator, guess I should have said lag spike?

oh, that's probably an easy fix.
go into your screenshots folder, and move everything out of it into some other folder. old sambo is getting a directory listing to find the
next number to use, and if you have a lot of screenshots there you get
the huge lagspike. so you should move everything out every so often

Ahhh, my screenshot folder is jammed with stuff right now. I was already thinking it could be a problem on my computer instead of with my connection so you're probably right. I'll try that before I use Sam again tonight. This noob thanks you! :wootrock:
But what about Die Hard? :hmmm: The only time I got a lag spike near as big as 10sec someone was keybinding (I think that's what it's called) to create lag on purpose. It threw me into the lava in Fortress!! :bandhead:

when my screenie folder is too crowded I crop all the ones that I want to keep and save them in another place on the comp.
then I delete the whole screenshot folder....sambo such as jimbo said automatically creates a new screenshot folder when you take an f11 again

It appears to depend on how long you're recording, but about 2 to 3 megs for the three files each demo creates.

Really? That's weird because the .dem (Demo0001.dem, etc.) files in my demos folder are usually about 2 MB. Am I looking at the wrong thing? Or maybe I'm using higher graphics settings than you are so it takes up more space (1024x768, 32bpp)? :hmmm:

demos don't care about resolution, they only store actions of all the players.
