well lets see here right after i made my new thread i got a huge virus that wouldnt let me start my computer which really sux :bandhead: :bandhead: :bandhead: worst of all the only think i could use was yep..................my recovery disk i am still installing all the software that was deleted but i am glad that is over but it still moight be on my computer embeded does anyone know how to get rid of it or do you think its gone?

run nortons AV. Search symantec for the named virus you have for the removal tool.

You sure do....I can&#39;t count the times it has saved me. I was a moderator on PlanetWolfenstein when the Klez crap was big, I got as many as 30 viruses a day. (We had our e-mails right there on the site) Recently, I&#39;ve had 3 infected e-mails come in with the daily spam. Don&#39;t fly without a net.

Start building your own computers and then also get Norton Ghost or any disk imaging software which captures a picture of your hard drive in it&#39;s current state. Recovery disks are horrible and the junk and the spyware that gets included with these computers now a days really is out of control.

hah thats very true but i dont have the money to buy norton im only 14 and i got no job

ohh and btw is it recommended to but just norton AV for 20&#036; or to buy the kit with the firewall for 60&#036;? what do you think do i need a firewall or not?

I would just get the antivirus and download a free firewall like ZoneAlarm.

yup I agree Grimmy, ZA is crap :bandhead: I had many problems with it.

Than I installed norton and all is working fine :)
