I have picked up a new couple of cellphones, a LG VX4400b for my wife,
and a LG VX6000 for myself. this one is a camera phone, my wife didn't
care for that. I am pretty highly impressed with all that the phones can do.
My last plan really suxxored in comparison. We went with verizon, no frills,
sending pics, .25, .10 to send messages, .02 to receive. They have addons
for that, but i don't think we would be using those features that much. It all
works very well. The camera doesn't do well in low light situations, but here
is one i just took.

Typing in messages is awesome, it has a mode where you just type 1 number
for each letter, and it figures out what word you meant, like 724665 becomes
school. How cool is that?

Consumer reports has a lot of articles about cellphones this month.
if you are on a plan that has expired then it is time to change.

this is the camera phone.
browsing verizons site, the other one does not appear
to be available any more, although it probably is in the stores.
that one also is trimode, which means it will work through analog networks.
the camera phone will not.

jup, the damn contracts suck. We have had cingular, t-mobile & at&t,
unimpressed with each for various reasons. I hope verizon is better,
else I will have to kick the "can you hear me now" guys azz!!

Same here Jim..... Me and my bride both have the 4400 and Verizon and so far so good. The phone is packed with features I'll never use - some I want to use but I'm too lazy to read the instrux on how to download the pic's I want.

yep, i hate the nokias, you talk into air, the other person can't hear you
so you have to hold it in front of your mouth away from your ear,
i find lots of garbage numbers programmed in the phone, and make
calls when the thing is in my pocket, that was why I decided to
go with a flip phone. when it is closed, it is closed & small, when open,
it is a lot longer than the short phones and you can talk into it better...

That is what I have, a flip phone. Nothing special or fancy, just small n compact. I have a motorola timeport. Need to get a new one though. Verison has the one I want, but I am on US Cellular. Would go with Nextel if it was more popular in this part of the country. Walkie talk to peeps :w00t:  :jammin:
