So i was walking to the back of McDonalds to punch out and my pocket PC slips out of its crappy case (which happens all the time) and slams into the tile floor. I picked it up to look at it and lo and behold the friggin screen was broken. It is still under warranty but I dont know if they will cover it! I am PIZZED. I am gonna call compUSA and see if they can fix it under the warranty.

Oh yeah...all of my chem notes are in there.

the funny thing is that a kid at school told me that he had to replace the screen on his palm cuz he dropped it and then he recommended that i get a metal case...so the next one i get will be a padded steel case covered in springs on the outside

Ummmmm, when I was in highschool there was no such thing as palm's and pocket PC's

And if they were out, and I'm mistaken, (which I dont think I am because I wasnt even common for everyone to have a PC in their home) they were probably so new and expensive not many people had one.

I did the same thing with my Archos jukebox. The thing still works but now I have to deal with a cracked screen. Oh yea the same thing happened to my digital camera. So far my cell phone has held up pretty good. I guess I'm ruff on things. I feel your pain.

I know the feeling PJ. The other night, I was stargazing. Feeling all nice and relaxed after spending a night looking at Venus, Mars, Saturn, Orion Nebula some star clusters.

Decide to finally call it a night.

Get my scope back to the garage and turn the barrel down to cover it. Spotting scope slips out of its bracket and the lens smashes on the concrete floor. :bandhead: :bandhead: :bandhead:

$110 to replace. :bawling: :bawling: :bawling:

We had our TI-30s for trig and calculus, but they came with a crappy plastic case that got the job done.

I also know how you feel, I was really drunk one night and I picked up my plasma TV ran outside and smashed it on the street. The next morning I got up and picked it up, looked like it got run over a few times but low and behold it still worked. Although it is incredibly difficult to make out what show I am watching.

They should make the cases out of RUBBER. That would keep your instrument SAFE. Then you wouldn't have to worry about any ACCIDENTS. :P

I think rubber deteriorates faster then plastic, but its still a good idea!

they might as well bring their regular nintendos and a portable tv

out of all the people at school with TI-83s, probably only 15 percent of them actually use it as a calculator
