NEED HELP NOW

My computer has been acting funny since i came back from LANWar, when i load Spybot Search and destroy or Adaware 6.0 or any other virus looking programs they automatically shut down

Crism has been trying to help me out but i just cant find out what it is, and my Mcafee Virusscan aint doing nothing, aint finding nothing, and its really getting on my nerves, andmy homepage is always a freesearch thing or some porn thing, and when i try to change it, it stays the same

dunno, apparently the spyware has figured out how to beat the remove ware...
worst case scenario, you can do a restore install of windows if you have a cd,
otherwise it will be a google search if you can find some identifying
information as to what you are infected with, and you might
find instructions there. you also may want to do start->run msconfig
and see if it is loading startup garbage, if so, it may be an easier fix.

Make sure Mcafee is up to date and try running a scan from DOS.
check there web site for instuctions :wave:

Also check your add remove prgrams for some stupid hotbar or something to that effect.

I think they told me to start windows from cd. try to install your antivirus again, if thats not working their is something active.
Then try to scan your computer from an external source. maybe from the website of the antivirus company's??

check the website of the ant ware company's to see if there is a virus that does what you are experiencing and remove it by hand or with the appropriate tool.

Maybe if you can figure out what it is, then go to a removal tool for that virus, if it is, at Symantec or Mcafee, or go to Major Geeks (http://www.majorgeeks.com) to get a current spybot tool that catches it, if it's that.

No, they had free antivirus software for anyone who needed it. Some Muyak had 80 virus&#39;s on his PC :rofl:

Lanwar is verry accomidating, they&#39;ve hosted 21 lans, so when they harp on you doing a virus scan, do it&#33; It even says when you reserve your seat to scan your PC first and one morron had 67 and another had 80 :loser:
