I'd like to make a suggestion.
A GM section at Lanwar 24 (http://www.lanwar.com/event_info/DisplayAboutLanwar.asp) October 9th in Louisville KY. It's the lanparty that {DS} one CF, and the Gummi's go to. {DS} sent 5, CF 1, and about 8 Gummi's were there.
The games played were, Quake 3, warcraft, BF 1942, CS, UT, UT 2003 and a bunch of others I didn't know plus we ran a SSSE server. They will allow you to bring servers and run them on server row, or you can host a game over the network, so any game can be played.
Basically, it's a 550 seat lan party that runs 30 hours straight, cost is $30 and hotels offer a discount. Food is dirt cheap! They allow you to bring a server, and even sleep in the hall if you wish. They give out door prizes, each of us got 2 t-shirts, and a hat, then they gave out Mobo's, CPU's, video card, etc. They also run tourneys for UT, BF, and Q-3.
The thing would be, everyone going would have to sign up quickly once a sign up time and date were posted because they sell out every lanwar. Then we would request clan seating, and they would make sure we were together. But we would be seated together, the responsability of running the lan and clean up would be some one else's. Also, a couple of the Gummi's work at lanwar, and some of {DS} have met the people who run it and we could give them some heads up and make sure it's done right! Lanwars holds 4-5 lans a year and know what they're doing.
I would also like to say that {DS} had a great time there last month and we were impressed with the way it was done. Occasionally we run into players in public servers that we met at the lan and it's always great to see that we established ourselves a little better and earned some respect in the UT community.
The only thing I will warn you of is no booze is allowed in the building, but it was funny to see {DS} head to the parking garage before each round of the tourney :drink: :P  :oooo:
Take some time to look at the lanwar site, especially "The Big Pic" and the "FAQ"
I think this could be a hell of a good time.
