I just saw the second part of the production tonight, it was even better than the first. It clocks in at 6 hours overall, a hefty length, over two nights.....the set is purely amazing...

for those who haven't read the books, I will say without giving much away, that its really a sequel to Miltons "Paradise Lost".....the War in Heaven, the attempt to kill god......the first book really doesnt reveal this but the 2nd and 3rd books do......Pullman is an English Author, and "His Dark Materials" is the only childrens book to ever win the Booker prize.
