Ok my friend when i play at his house has 56k too sometimes his ping is just as high as mine when i play as his but his is much smoother than min he has a new comp. too and mine is a pentium 3 his is 4 he prob has a better graphics card in his is that why his is smoother, and what cards are recommended if this is so? and how do i figure out what my graphics card is? i have a "compaq intel® Celeron™ CPU 1200 MHz 1.2 GHz 256mb of ram so i dont know what i have?

Uh, u might have intergrated graphics, but yea anything GeForce 4ish or radeon 9000ish will make gameplay in Sam seem alot smoother.
i'll prolly need the model # on ur comp to figure out exactly what ur vid card is.

you don't have a graphics card, it is the 815 POS chipset!!!

You NEED a graphics card bud. ;)

Welll at least u have an AGP slot.
I agree with 9s, go out and buy an ATI Radeon.

ok what would n e of you recomend for my computer thnx for your help i knew my computer sucked but not that bad lol :lol: no wonder it seems laggy when im not even playing online i think this could help out my game :thumbs:

i got a geforce fx 5200 128 mb for $40. (with rebates)
look into that AI :thumbs:
Also, you will prob have to get a new power supply whioch i have yet to do also

man, plan to spend at least 100, maybe $150 if you can swing it. anything
less though... it won't take you too far. it will help with sam, but not anything more...

As for a psu, I don't think you would need one for er.. inexpensive cards...

hey jim i didnt manage to get cable and i suck at begging theres no way dude i mean i played cable at my friends house who actually has it. I have not much money i i did you would see me with cable and a new computer. I just want some examples of what is good for a cheap price :thumbs:

Here&#39;s what you do AI. Next snowstorm you have, go around door to door and ask to shovel snow. Go at like 9:00 AM and try to hit elderly couple&#39;s houses if you can. Then take the money and give it to your parents, and tell them to deposit it into their bank account. Then tell your parents that you want to use that money to buy a graphics card(or you can just use the cash yourself at your local computer store). If you shovel 5+ driveways, you&#39;ll have enough. And it WILL be worth it. :thumbs:
