2004 questions

I have to admitt, I was impressed! I played quite a bit Onslaught with {DS} last night and was quite please that a cable hosted server ran smooth with 5 players :w00t:

But I had one hell of a time stearing the vehicals, especially the land based ones :bandhead: Now I'm the first to admitt to being a low skilled gamer, but i wanted to know if others found the same issues? I wondered if this was related in any way to my mouse speed being 1.5 because the turning radius seamed real wide to me :blink: But it was a hell of a lot of fun :thumbs:

The vehicles, for me, are a novelty which will lose my interest quickly. Otherwise, it was very pretty, and fun to play. When I first tried to add a Buddy, with a right-click menu, it didn't 'take', but later, I was able to add Smooth[Gummi]. Then, I right-clicked again to add Smooth, but backspaced the name out, and put in {DS}*, which worked fine, and gives me my teammates. I found it odd that they have all this new right-click-ability built into the menus, but not that old, simple "Add Buddy" button, but I guess that's what they mean by "beta demo". It seemed like the game speed was a little slower than I was used to, but I'm sure that can be notched up.
For those who think the game is running slow, be sure to put your GameCacheMegs up from the default 32 for better loading and operation.

Also havin issues with the nodes.....

I know you activate it, and then build it (alt fire on link gun is best), but when I go to the next node, it sez I cant build it or something like that. I picked a bad day to stop dropping acid - that might have helped me a little.

yeah...that thing is awesome...but i dont like how the vehcles sometimes swing uncontrollably around...i HATE that...escpecially when i am gonna run into like 10 guys, and some frigging earthworm sends my buggy into a spin...

what does linking do? can you like clothes-line the other people?

to my understanding if you use the alt fire on your link gun you can combine the force of the beam to do more damage
