Can anyone complete the Palace level of the painkiller demo on Normal (Insomnia) difficulty? I can get inside the Palace, but then erk.....I'm dead fast.

um are you able to use all the weapons?
like alt-fire is useful, use that to throw the spike-beam thingy,
is pretty good to take out most enemies while conserving ammo

You mean primary fire for the first weapon? Hell thats all I ever use :P

no, try alt-fire with the spinning blade thingy, it kicks ass

Yeah, you shoot out a yellow beam that sucks the enemies towards you and kills them. But if you miss, then you have to hit right-click(or whatever your alternate fire button is) to retrieve it back. Otherwise it will remain stuck to whatever non-enemy you hit.

ah, but you can anchor the beam, and it will kill the enemies as the go in it (although you have to aim at the anchor)

Yeah..I'm trying to beat the first level using stakes only on Insominia mode. I'm having trouble with those wizard guys in the last part though. It's hard without the grendades.

It's not bad EXE, but it slows down at times. Everything would slow down; it's weird actually. I think I need to lower the quality a bit. Otherwise it runs great. :wave:

By the way, Burn the Witch, the best way I found to beat the 2nd level on Insomniac is to use certain weapons on different enemies.

Guys with machetes: Bunny Hop away, wait for them to accumulate in a group, then launch grenade.

Archer guys with Crossbows: Strafe jump sideways, then use the spike gun(the one with the alternate fire with electricity). That takes them down well.

Little blue robot guys: Use the alternate fire of the spike gun, electricity. Zap them.

Big guys with axes: Stake through the stomach.

Just for some general tips:

I found that I run out of ammo quickly. Make sure you pick up ammo, and watch your count, because you want to try to use the above weapons for each type of guy. Also, use the barriers to your advantage. You can jump over the little walls, but they cant. That also applies for the places with stairs. It's a great setup for grenades.

If you are stuck at a certain spot let me know and I'll try to help you out. :thumbs:

Hmm, I just beat the demo on Nightmare mode, but Trauma mode is still locked..

Do they mean to beat the entire real game to unlock Trauma mode?

This guy killed me so many times before I finally got him, lol. There is definitely a method to killing him, no doubt about it.

:thumbs: Yeah, I've beaten Sam before. I don't remember what difficulty though.
