I use PS to post screenies....
I save the image from my screenies menu...
I open it in PS...crop the image and....here's my problem..
after I crop I pull down the save option..I save...it then offers a
menu to save the image as a low (1) to high quality (9)...
I usually save as 1 or low quality and BINGO !!!! no problemo...posto !!

for some reason...it no longer offers the 1 to 9 quality thingy.....

I looked for it in all the pull down menus but cant find it :bandhead: :bandhead:

help :WTF:

are you specifying to save it as a jpg image?
I wouldn't use photoshop for that purpose anyway, too slow to load,
i like irfanview, crop resize save, done in a few seconds.

Easier yet....

1 load your screenie
2 Image>Image Size> 8" (constrain size) and you can leave resolution at 72
3 File>Save for Web
4 Then just use the little slider dealy down until the file size is under 50k so you can post it in the forums.

with photoimpact you can specify size you want... like just type number of bytes or Kilobytes and have fun
