My comp is faster then my dads at games even though i got a 1.8 pentium 4 and he has a amd athlon xp 2.4

i seriously doubt that in terms of cpu performance and your cpu is faster then an xp2400. now if he has a 5400 rpm hardrive or you have a better video card, you may need to update the statement made. you could have a p3 with an 9700 pro card and seem to be faster then a 3ghz p4 with a geforce 2mx card.
