Is it something hard to do? I've been trying to find some way to better help my clan. Everyone is always asking for them and I thought maybe I could try my hand at making them. I've got some adobe programs and stuff but have no idea what to do or how to do it. Anyone care to teach? :hmmm:

its not really that hard, using layers is probably the most important thing. i use paintshop pro, i think me and BIO are the only one that use it. everyone else seems to use photo shop.
and for animations (like mario and luigi) i use animation shop 3.

there are tons of good tutorials out there, just go to google and type photoshop
tutorials ...
example site... http://www.good-tutorials.com/
unfortunately there won't be any how to design a sig tutorial, but all of the same
principles apply.
Say you get a bunch of photos of things that you like.
first you would open all of the images in photoshop, then make a new canvas,
and then copy each image and paste it into the canvas.
Each will make a separate layer. the first layer is the background.
for other layers, you go and use the eraser to delete stuff you don't want to show.
you work on a layer by clicking on it in the toolbar.
you can hide layers by clicking on the eye symbol next to it.
you can move a layer by clicking ctrl or shift or alt (i forget) and the arrow keys
if something is too big or too small, you can resize or skew it by pressing ctrl-t
if you want the background to show through then you adjust the transparency
settings on a layer.
ok, it is a huge lot to learn, that is why the tutorials are good. they give precise
directions (keys to press, etc) and the same principles apply to other stuff.
like my current avatar, to make something like that, you start with a basic image
as the background, erase the parts you don't want, and paste in the new parts.
I had some 3 mighty marvin photos that i cut sections out in order to get it
just right...
