When ever I type in a message in a game it is preceded by an "f" and the text is blue. It started happening before I reformatted my HD, and is still happening with a clean install. What's going on?

What's really bad is when someone says "GG Sirc" and I type back "u2". It comes out as "fu2". That's not good. :unsure:

I said "crap. No sound" cause my stupid sound driver sucks too. Argh. :angry:

Sirc you could try this.
Archive your players folder someplace, Then delete the contents of the original, Then when you restart the game it will rebuild the player profiles and see if it still happens. If it still screws up just copy the contents back again.

I've seen that before but I don't remember what I did to fix it.
You told me you saved your player profile and it was doing it before you reformatted, So I would say it's prob'ly related.

I noticed that the other night Sirc, you had F infront of everything. What does the code for your tags look like at the end? That is the only thing I could think of. Try making another name and go in a server and type something and see if it follows.

Well that kinda fixed it. The message text is correct now, but my tag and name are still borked in the message area. It looks fine in the regular player list though. Me thinks it is a bug. I think the flashy crap causes it.
