it is pretty common knowledge that you can find most anything on the internet,
and it really isn't hard. while it is very understandable that you may not want to
contribute to micro$$ofts 600 billion dollar cash reserve,
if you like something, you should buy it.

The game producers are not some big evil monopoly like the record industry
that has been ripping off both the publishers and artists for years.

Take for example serious sam. the game is $9 or cheaper. it has been copied
worldwide. For croteam, they probably only see a miniscule amout of that $9,
if anything any more. So there is not going to be much incentive there to make
a workable patch. Their next new money will have to come from their next game,
and all of their resources are going to be put there rather than supporting the
existing game. that sucks, but then people gotta eat.

So if you see someone complaining about crappy netcode, blah blah blah, the
best way to get stuff like that fixed is by supporting the software developers,
and that means paying for stuff.

True, its irrellevant whether the company is big or small, if you copy something it shows you have no respect for the industry it is related to. Ultimately, the more time companies spend stopping pirates or losing funds, the less quality game releases there will be.

paying for stuff.
And if that is not possible?

if country are very poor to sell and buy original CDs of games?
WE have this situation here.... all CDs i see in my town are russian warez and piratic CDs

i tried to buy to buy Counter Strike. it costs about 6 bucks here - warez offcourse
original copy of game costs about 40 bucks + shiping from other country. And no internet payment system here. Are our country worse now that we cant own orginal stuff? whos guilty now? so piratic and warez is just normal in our country.... i emailed Computer Journal about our possibilities to buy DAoC in Latvia. And thats totaly impossible. We are joining Europe this May. i hope we will get new systems, features and technics to buy fresh original stuff. Actually i am tired of Russian sh*t - all their translated games is unpatchable. You think my SSSE is english version?

Geez that sux so much

If you lived in CT and offered to shovel for $10, you'd be busy every snow storm, figure 2 new games every storm at least. It just seams now that kids aren't willing to do the work, at least in my hood. :bandhead:

Hybrid, that just sucks! One of the things I learned at GM is how lucky Americans are to have their PC's, resources, and competition in the market place compared to what many other countries have. I hope this summer things will change for you.

First of all i'd like to say that i'm sorry if cppying games is considered warez (i was not aware of this and it cost me a bit) i was not plannning to give the game to anuone else and was never planning ob purchasing it until i played it.
I have downloaded only 2 games in my life (both of which have been deleted for some time now) and one of those dled games i actually bought, the other i will buy some time next week :)
If there was a BFV demo i would have definitely played that over the burned version, as far as the companies go, there are alot of people that dont evenm know how to acess warez properly and they will buy those games, and warez is ALOT more difft then if u would walk into a store and just steal a game. As far a music goes, artist need to be heard and it helps if people all over the world hear them and attend their conserts (the REAL money maker).
Also i Do buy games, i bought Call of Duty for 50$ (30$ or less now) and i wasnt really pleased with it but since u cant refund games once opened im stuk with it, eh who knows i might pick it up again eventually...
