grrrrr...... no legit company does any types of notifications this way.
if you EVER receive an unexpected email that wants you to do
something, it is for one purpose only - to screw you. a pif file is a virus.
don&#39;t bother sending it back, because the return address is going to
be faked. just delete the sh1t. same thing about emails wanting you
to update &#39;account&#39; info based on a link contained in it. can you
say payday for a loozer?

If you ever wonder, just do an update for whatever virus protection you use from the program. That way you will not have to worry about some jerk wreaking havoc on your system.

Those are both almost certainly viruses and if you open them you will be sorry... Jim&#39;s right, too, don&#39;t bother sending them back, the addresses are most likely fakes... I am still getting a ton of the netsky and my doom virus emails but our antivirus protection strips off the yukky attachments before I even have to worry about it... :thumbs:

ya, i&#39;ve gotten a lot of virus attachments, but something sounds weird. Isn&#39;t symatec the thinggy that runs windows update???

Their fake, it happened to me and I called up Verizon because it said it was a virus scan because my e-mail was exporting "viruses" so I called up verizon and they were like "ITS NOT OURS LAWL DELETE IT SCRUB HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" i was like k.

Symantec is an antivirus software company they are Norton Antivirus for home and small business computers and Symantec is the larger business versions of their products...
