This would be fun. How about we have a 2 on 2 tournament just for sh*ts?

We play for records to see if any team can claim the honor of being the best two-man team here at GM.

The game can be whatever floats your boat...Sam, UT, AVP2, etc. Everybody split up into teams of two and challenge other teams. It would be fun if we had names for our teams too.

Remember when we did this at the old site? It was a blast...

OK...it's official. The Machine and I have formed a new team. We will take on any and all challengers, any and all games (games that we own/play that is)

I would like 1 of these maps: Little trouble, Lost tomb, Fortress or yodellor
I think Yodellor is the best choise

i can serve the server, up speed 512!!!!!!!!!!!!
no USA server this time coz they have about 3-5 times better connections.

By the way...I might as well lay out some rules of engagement:

1. The team BEING CHALLENGED chooses the conditions of the match, i.e. game type, fraglimit, map etc. When both teams agree, game on!

2. No substitutions. You must have an established team, and must challenge as your team. If one of you cannot make it, you forfeit.

3. Neutral server must be available. Yes, the old European players vs. American players problem still exists, unless both teams agree to one team having the disadvantage on ping/packet loss.

4. If network problems force one team to leave the game, or quit, this is NOT considered a forfeit. Both teams declare a draw, and the match ends. Yes, we still have to deal with the same old internet, and it's not going to change anytime soon, so we have to learn to deal with it AS IS.

5. NO TAUNTING! Please keep it clean! Let's have fun with this, not piss off the whole community. Act with respect, and you shall receive it :) If you get beat, no excuses, just accept it. Any great player can lose to any other great player on any given day.


Oh, and please don't make up excuses and quit claiming network problems just because you are losing. Please show respect to your opponents.

I think #4 leaves a lot of room for cop outs. What&#39;s to stop anyone from claiming network problems just to save face?

Yes i have a suggestion to that rule

why we dont make it 2 rounds? one with the first team set the conditions and the second with the second team set them

and for the european vs american problem we can also use two matches one on a european server the other on a american server


just a few thoughts on that :)

Sorry Sirc, but I really don&#39;t care :) If people feel the necessity to "cop out" then so be it. I just want to play some two on two matches, and if these rules aren&#39;t enough to keep people on the up-and-up, then I won&#39;t lose sleep over it.

However...when we get back here, showing screenshots of domination is not forbidden :)

I&#39;m sure there will be a lot of draws because of teams that would do this, but unless any better ideas are introduced, I couldn&#39;t care less :) KILL ME&#33;

LOL. I missed this thread yesterday and started one.

Another rule should be the combined kills minus the combined deaths should determine the score of the team. Whatcha think?

as i say i can server the 2 vs 2 server (i have 512/512 connection).
and I think machine and hammer have some 1-3mbit connections and u guys only have some connection as i have.

so it wouldn&#39;t be fair on USA server.

I have a cable connection, 768 down 128 up. I don&#39;t know what retarded sh*t you&#39;re talking about but shut up.

If you want to play, get a teammate and let&#39;s do it, if you do not, let these guys decide for themselves. These are friendly matches...if you don&#39;t like my ping, then don&#39;t challenge me.

Nobody pulled your chain at all, so go back to whatever you were doing BEFORE you stuck your nose in our sh*t.
