Ya I was reading about that in another article. It acts like there is two processors with the hyper thread. Very cool, me wants. :)

me want one too, maybe 2 of them, and a dual mobo that supports them, and as long as I am at it, T3 connection as a free bonus B)

people do not be fooled with this. there will be problems with some apps using this processor. The p4 xeon has had this technology so if you are intersted buy a 2.4ghz xeon. if you are smart you will buy a dual amd system which will be cheaper than the single p4 3.06 cpu. if you are smarter you will wait for the AMD opteron chip to come out which will offer 64bit and 32 bit proceesor and will be better priced. this is the time to wait as they will be releasing new products which will kick ass.

That is true and keep this in mind that this is the first of it's kind. Prices will be at war and that will benefit us in the long run.

i do like the latest p4 but for the price of it you can build something thats going to blow it away. you can actually build a dual xeon system 2.4ghz with about the same price as a dual p4 3.06. i will stick with AMD as they give you more for your money and if you wanted to you can build a dual amd system using xp chips. the 2000xp chip is under 100 dollars. you may have to mod the chip which is very easy but it works well and will keep extra money in your pocket for very good video card. i am still waiting to see how many other problems pop up like the creative audigy due to hyper threading. i am afraid it is just matketing hype.

I don't know man, these numbers look pretty damn good to me. Over 200 fps in Sam. Benchmark of 15,500 in 3d Mark. I'll take it! http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/cpu/...3261_1500631__5 (http://www.sharkyextreme.com/hardware/cpu/article.php/3261_1500631__5)
