I think I paid something like that for my P II 350 a few years ago. Processor, motherboard and memory for about $1200 total. A guy kept trying to sell his old AMD Athlon 650 for $400, then $300. My son wanted to buy it. I just opened a Fry's Ad and told him he could get a 1.2Gig Celeron for about the same price. Finally, the guy just gave up trying to sell it and gave it to my son. It's sitting on my work table now, waiting for him to pick up. He wanted me to transfer his old system to the new box.

Oh, that new 3.06gig Intel really has me intrigued. Hyperthreading, something like simulating two processors on a single chip. Maybe next year, when it's only a $100. Hey, isn't that next month...hehehe

Oh, Slice, where you going to find a motherboard to them both on. Hmmmm, nice, four processors. Guess you'll have to upgrade to .Net Server, since XP Pro only supports two... :D

I refuse to pay over $300 for a chip.

Damn I hope the Hammer is cheaper than the Intel chips.
