Ok The ping was good, I was getting 98-100. You need to tweak around the settings though. Becuase you start out with 120 health, you get way more ammo when you pick up stuff, and the 50 armor adds 75 and so on, so maybe you could fix those. Basically make it reg DM but using Lithium II enhancements (like Sisters server.

P.S. I didn't touch any of the settings at all sparky. They are default. straight default lithium.

Straight default Lithium is stupid. There is more than 1 server that runs that config... Its like normal Q2 DM with faster weapon changing/projectiles and a speed up in game play. Thats all it really needs.

You just need the 3.20 patch for Q2, Sauron. Then you&#39;re set :)

Tip: Get good with the railgun, rocket launcher, chaingun, and super shotgun.

Learn the maps on the servers. Like Sam, remember where everything is blah blah.

Rememebr spawn points. Dont spawn camp (thats just lame) but if people do spawn there and try to get a weapon, take em out.

Well Q2 is installed and I played a bit and, um, thoroughly suck. :D

Yikes&#33; I played on the Sisters of the Whatever server that SLiK was talking about. It took 3 games before I managed to actually be able to kill someone before I died. :rolleyes:

I got a lot of learning to do. :blink:

BTW, do any of the weapons have an alt-fire mode? I mapped jump to my right mouse button because I have it that way in SS. Now I&#39;m wondering if I lost some of the weapon functionality by doing this.

Yeah there are tons of them on that server, gets annoying. And no there arent any secondary fires in any of the quakes.

Some of those maps have way too much lava to fall into. Or maybe I just need to get used to it. I found the lava to be more annoying than the campers. I didn&#39;t play the whole rotation, but there were some maps that seemed pretty cool.

Oh trust me, the lava gets very annoying. Especially that one map where the rocket launcher is in that small cave and there is lava around it, and sometimes in the heat of battle i fall in and take a lot of damage. Also in that same level, the spinning wheel thin and you have jump on it and then jump again to get railgun, but its so annoying when you mess up and fall in lava.

You need to get the mod. Head over to www.planetquake.com to get it. I have rocket arena for quake3, never have gotten a chance to test it though.

Quake 3 is also a very good game, but yes its diff like sirc said. Quake 3 gold comes with reg quake3 and its expansion pack, Team Arena.
