OK, help! You computer literate pals o'mine...

I downloaded UT3 along with the patch. When I click on to play it, I get this windows message: "A Required .DLL File, D3D8.DLL was not found."

Any clues? Do I need to download it again or something? Thanks all.

D3D= Direct3D. Do you have Directx 8.1? Get that.

Actually you need DirectX 8.1b for it to run.

Errrrr... I guess I don't have that. Where can I download it from? Thanks guys. Also, is my 256 of ram going to be enough, or should I upgrade to 512?

You should be fine with 256 but if you have the cash 512 is nice to have. Especially if you are running XP or 2K. I wouldn't bother for 95 or 98.
