Just got Metriod Prime and man oh man whatta game! I could literally feel the intensity and suspense when I had to evacutate that first level. This game is a MUST buy for all Gamecube owners. It is too friggen cool. So cool, it rivals GTA Vice City in coolness. Maybe this is the best game of the year.... :D

Yep fun and frustrating. I thought some of it was hard but it was a damn good game I liked it better then Vice City actually but just a bit. B)

I wish I could get passed the first level :( theirs way too many controls and stuff so I got confused and it took me like 30 seconds to find out how to use the grapple hook. Then I was at the end of it and I died and shut it off and cursed a bit :angry:

I actually died at the begging too but only cause I didn't know where to go I got used to the controls after that. Damn those Metroid games and them always having to preasure us by making something blow up and we have to escape from it! :angry:

Don't mean to jump in, but I just got the Phazon Suit and I am near the end! I must say that this game lives up and surpasses the Metroid name. I am having a hard time putting it down.

I finally passed the 1st level lol, I need to get more patience. Well I'm on the 2nd level and I got right near the end where you have to kill the Dragonfly things and shoot into the statues mouth and I kept Strafing into the water and lost all my health and died :( I can't seem to aim when I try to shoot the bugs :unsure:

Looka as if you guys have been enjoying it. I love this game too but I've been trying out my other games and I'll give you some info on them later.

Don't strafe. Use manual aim, that is your best bet. Only lock on when they stop moving around and then BE FAST about killing the damn wasps. Wait until you fight Omega Pirate..heh, heh..

Well I finished killing them and I got the missile launcher and the morph ball and went back to the ship and went to the tomb thingie with all those standing rocks around it. Now I went back to the ship, saved, and spent hours trying to fiqure out what i'm supposed to do next. Too bad though. My dad had to take it back today :(

That stinks...Well then, I guess I won't bore you with the next task at hand, or tell you that your ship will communicate 'objective' data to you, but that doesn't happen too often or too quickly.

1025 PM EST...I just fought Metroid Prime for the second time...alas...I was not victorious.
That has to be one of the hardest boss fights ever. Nothing will prepare for Metroid Prime...nothing...

I had to change my underwear.

Yeah I have come across the Metriod. Those things are little bitches&#33; They take out your eniemes though, that&#39;s pretty cool. But the final boss is called Metriod Prime? ****e. Don&#39;t tell me anymore&#33;

The one thing that I hate more then anything else is the damn save points. I have spent a friggen half hour going through a whole maze of crap, beating the boss, pick up my kickass new item, and then scuryy back to the save point, only to die and have to do it all over again&#33; AIEEE&#33;&#33;&#33; :angry:

I think that adds to the intensity of the game&#33; I mean, c&#39;mon, none of the boss fights are really that tough anyway, until the end. Did you have trouble with the Shegoth? Or Thardus? Phooey. The only time the game gets really tough is when you have to fight all the damn pirates with the different weapons, that is a pain, but by then you should have just about every energy tank.

BTW, I still haven&#39;t beat the game, sitting at the end, waiting for my time to strike.

Well they weren&#39;t hard, but I sure took a beating from them and was left with, like, half of a tank of energy, and then i progress my way back to the saving point, but some damn space pirates pop out at me and I die before I even get to the saving point. It is just frusterating as hell&#33; I&#39;ll admit, I can usually make it back at my second try, but it&#39;s still no picnic. The game is difficult and I like that. It&#39;s a kickass game nonetheless, and I suppose It adds thrill to the game. <_< If not mind numbing frustration. :shifty:

I didn&#39;t have a problem with Ridley, honest to god I think he only made me lose 2 energy tanks, but Metroid Prime is kicking my a&#036;&#036; all over the place&#33; :angry:

Where are you stuck? I was stuck early on, but then I realized I wasn&#39;t scanning everything....loe and behold, I found what I needed in the room I was stuck in.

hehehe, When I was about to rent a game I saw that they had Metriod Prime for once so i decided to rent it. My dad was trying to tell me to rent another (for some odd reason) but still rented Metriod prime.


The next day I opened one of my gifts and it was Metriod prime.


What a waste of money it was to rent it. :(

A lot of back tracking in the game, yet still cool. If you dont use the map (and scan) your screw ED. Im at my other house so I wont be able tp play this week, but im at the 2nd level boss (Flaggia or something) w00t I can hold 20 missles.

Okay, has anyone beat this game YET&#33;? I tried to fight Metroid Prime last night. I fought him twice.
I died twice. It took over an HOUR&#33; I almost had him on the second fight. I only had about 60 energy and he was almost dead...then he turned invisible, I jumped, and he reappeared right in front of me and killed me. Pain, pain, pain.... :angry:

I don&#39;t even have any good advice to give you when fighting him, it is just hard. :blink:

Another? Metroids are EVERYWHERE&#33; Now, Metroid Prime, he is THE metroid. And I real pain in the #&#036;@ to kill.

5L. Impact Crater - The Newborn Returns =
=========================================

Crater Entry Point: Save up and head through the red door.

Crater Tunnel A: Lumigeks are in this area. Shoot them if you wish, and
jump across the more nasty red stuff, worse than Phazon.

Phazon Core: There is only one or two enemies in this room at a time. That&#39;s
the good news. The bad news is that they&#39;re Fission Metroids. I suggest not
even fighting them, as if you defeat one, more will just come out of nowhere.
Just cross over and make your way up the platforms and the white ledges along
the wall. If you think it&#39;s going to attack. Get into a ball and wait for one
to start sucking on you, then set a Bomb to shake him off, and keep moving.
There&#39;s a Missile Recharge halfway up if you&#39;re intersted. Keep hopping to the
next highest platform and trying to shake off the Fission Metroids, and you can
reach the red door.

Crater Tunnel B: A rather complicated Spider track, isn&#39;t it? Bomb up to the
left and keep Bombing up or dropping down to the next closest track.

Phazon Infusion Chamber: Well, that doesn&#39;t look friendly... Follow it...

Subchamber One: Time to face the Metroid Prime. Only its head is vulnerable,
and only to the beam it&#39;s colored as. I&#39;m not sure if this how it works
everytime, but for me it started with yellow, so start launching Super
Missiles. After that, it&#39;ll turn purple, so launch Charged Wave Beam shots.
He&#39;ll run off after that.

Subchamber Two: He&#39;s yellow again, so lay in with the Super Missiles. After
that, it&#39;ll charge at you, so roll into the little trenches in the ground to
avoid the charge. He&#39;ll be purple next, so more Wave Beam. After that,
another charge, then he&#39;ll be white. Hit him with the Ice Spreader if you
have it, otherwise just with charged Ice shots. After that, he&#39;ll drop
another level.

Subchamber Three: Now, he&#39;ll go through all four colors, in a random order.
For red, just use quick, regular Plasma shots.

Subchamber Four: Now it&#39;s all random, and he&#39;ll throw every dirty trick in
the book at you. Keep shooting at him. Watch for his charging, which will
happen whenever his eyes fade, and the colored lights on his body dim. Once
his energy is depleted, he&#39;ll crash through the wall into...

Metroid Prime Lair: The casing has cracked and shattered, and out pops the True
Metroid Prime. You cannot hurt it with any normal attacks. As a main attack,
it creates a red Wave Quake, which isn&#39;t too hard to jump over. It will also
cloak itself at times. The first time, you can see him with the Thermal Visor,
then he&#39;ll cloak again and you can see him with the X-Ray Visor, then he&#39;ll
change again and you can only see him visibly. The time to strike is when it
creates a pool of Phazon underneath it. Step in the pool and your arm cannon
will enter Hyper Mode. First take out the Metroids the Prime spawned. If you
can&#39;t see the Prime, flip your Thermal or X-Ray Visor and look around. It
should be pretty close to you. Just hold down the button to release the pain
on this overgrown jellyfish. After causing damage, the Prime will start
releasing Hunter and then Fission Metroids. The Phazon Beam will still kill
them outright in one hit. Keep an eye on the Prime with visors so you know
where it is, and learn the sound of the Wave Quake so you know when to jump.
Once the Prime is defeated, it&#39;ll suck the Phazon out of your suit, and
you&#39;ll escape with the knowledge that you defeated one pretty hard last boss.

And that&#39;s it. Depending on your percentage, you&#39;ll get a different ending.
Congrats on saving the galaxy once again&#33; Now go play it on Hard Mode&#33; ^_^

Like I said, I have fought him twice, and it doesn&#39;t make it any easier know HOW to beat him.

I BEAT IT&#33; 17:45 total game time with 79% items collected/scanned. I got the &#39;crappy&#39; ending, but...

The game is HARD. I&#39;m not stuck it is just so hard to go from the save point to pick up the Infared thing, and then back again without dying&#33; Oh well, I play on. :)

For you guys that are still playing it, there is one weapon that you MUST have. The Wave beam combo. It makes parts of the fight with Metroid Prime sooooooo much easier. Don&#39;t leave home without it. :thumbs:

Of course. I am a console gamer by nature. Started back in the day when my dad bought a "pong" machine, then the Atari 2600 and so on.
I think that I have owned or played every console system ever. Well, with the exception of the ones that never made it to the states, like that crazy thing Bandai had in the mid-late eighties.
