full file name for halfe-life counter-strike.... im trying to delete everything and start over and see if it will erace the cd key im using now

not sure about that, I just use the uninstall in the control panel, that usually gets rid of everything, but maybe the folder.

i did uninstall it but when i go to reinstall it the screen where it asks you to put the cd key wont come up

Then I wouldn't worry about it. Atleast all the other files will be fresh. I am not sure, but that might be written to the registry, and I won't touch that myself.

damn man i tryed to email customer servise but they havent emailed me back yet and it is starting to get me kind pissed off becuse my friend wants to play me but we cant because were sharing the same cd key and ive tryed to fix this for over a mounth now and im getting no luck...... are you positive that thres no way i can get rid of it... aat this point im up to any sugestion!!!! *cries please help me*

Install to a different directory. Try that.

C'mon Grimmy! There is nothing more fun that running wild and loose in the registry!

Personally that is what I would do. Open 'er up, do a search for 'KEYS' and look for Sierra, or CounterStrike or whoever makes it, I can't remember. Then delete the keys. Most likely they are in HKEY/LocalMachine, or HKEY/CurrentUser

Hvae you tried removing ALL of the registry files? This can be done much easier with RegCleaner.

Just change the default folder path...example

c:\program files\counterstrike...default

c:\deathmaker\games\counterstike...different

You would have to choose the path, or create it on the fly

that was a good idea but id didnt work all it said was no files or folders found
