In light of all the Metroid Prime topics I decided to pick up Metroid Fusion for the Gameboy Advance and lemme tell ya it it was worth the 25 bucks. It plays a lot like Super Metroid for the SNES so classic game play fits right at home here. I actually thought it was pretty hard at times cause I could hardley see the damn GBA screen and I was always getting hit. But for people who have no problems with the GBA's very small buttons you should breeze through this game in 6 hours or less. Still there is lots to explore and items to get and the replay value is just as high as on the SNES sequal before it. If your a Metroid fan this is a must for your on the go gaming. Even if your not I suggest you give this one a try. The story is good and game play is great and we all know Metroid games are not dissapointing. I belive if you beat this game and hook your GBA to your Game Cube you can get the Fusion suit in Metroid Prime. On a scale of 1 - 10 as a whole I give Metroid Fusion a solid 8. Great Game I recomend it.

Thanks for the review. Do you have a review for Yoshi's Island?

Metroid Fusion is a great game and Rivers did well to compare it to Super Metroid on the SNES. If it wasn't for that damn dark little screen, the game would have been even more enjoyable. Although short (I beat it in 4:07) it is still great fun. I think SM was harder though.
So, I hooked it up the the GameCube, and Rivers, you are half right. When you beat Fusion, you can play the old 1986 Metroid on the Cube! I have been doing that lately, I forgot how hard that old game is...
Now, when you beat Prime, you can upload the Fusion suit from the GBA to use in Prime.
Either way, Nintendo has really scored big with these two games, but is it enough to fend off the PS2 and XBox?

Not sure if it will be enough but they are both great games and Nintendo has always cracked out great original games. Super Metroid for the SNES was great I loved that game but I found the GBA version to be harder actually. I can breeze through the SNES Super Metroid. I think my top time was 1 hour and 58 minutes and my rate for collecting items was 74%. I used to play that game a lot. High replay value. B)

Holy crap...that would be cool, but to be honest most of my GBA time is on the can. And if I am on the can for 30 hours, I should see the doctor.

That light is very nice, but I really want that light that is inside the GBA, takes most of the battery life. But Way better than having to go through all that frustration :(
frustration for a light? i love mine. it just clips on to the top. the battery back does get in the way at times tho

Yeah your supposed to avoid it till the end of the game. The damn thing usally kills you in a few hits. That X-Samus will make for some interesting scenerios later on lemme tell ya. But avoid it and hide from it dont use any weapon too powerful or it will hear you. Just let it pass. :)

Which is what I am doing now! Man, that game is hard. I remember a handful of those old NES games being pretty damn tough...
Metroid, Metal Gear, Battle Toads, Kid Icarus..
