One warning though. DON'T install it right away. What you want to do is copy your whole SS folders and all that stuff. I just made a COPY (not shortcut) and put it on my desktop and make a short cut for that right next to it. Then install the patch to where it was originally installed. This way, you can test the new patch (have your CD handy, you will need it) and when you want to play on the other version, just use the short cut that you made of your copied SS.exe file.

This will enable you to play both versions, and not have to mess with uninstalling and reinstalling and losing what you have. That is what I did, and it works great. If you need help, let me know.

ive done that with 1.05 and 1.07 so i will do it with 1.05 and 1.07 and 1.50! Then i will have sam installed 3 times but who cares :) :wacko:

I am going to take a wild guess that it is the same beta that we have been testing. It is identical in size 23774 KB..as version 4 beta. Boy...I don't know how the coop is...but the folks testing the deathmatch are going to be disapointed.

That file is the first beta and all of the servers are running beta 4. This beta is old and not compatible. Use at your own risk.

Like Sal said earlier in the thread it appears that they released Beta1 to the public. We are currently testing Betat4 thus the compatibility issues.

The other server running is compatible but the lag is very bad. I was the only one on it with a 122 ping and it was jerky as hell, I would hate to see it with more than one person on it. I hope it was the server and not the Beta patch, because if it is the patch they have a looooooooooooooong way to go :(

Just a big warning that everyone will be VERY dissappointed by this version. I'm surprised he made it available for public download. Don't bother with the patch until it is at least a release candidate.

Yes it is 1.50.5....my bad....went into several maps....Elevator is still shaky and hell....swim cheat still there....won't know about firing delay until more people join in.....Dang now I have 4 or 5 versions of ssse on my computer.

That was a riot &#33;&#33; I just played 1vs1, the guy was pretty cool. We tried a lot of different things like knife fights and pistol duels .

I installed it and it seems to run better than the versions we have been testing so far. Hopefully this is "Beta5" and is getting close to an RC. The delay in firing is much better, but its still there.

For the time being, my server is running 1.50.5, the new beta. It is very jerky. Crosshair bounces on elevators. Oh, and the worst, after you been spatted, your view is locked. :( I can&#39;t even look around and see who got me. BaaaaRaaa :(

How bout weapons stay for deathmatch to be added? Man I really hope they fix all these other bugs. And I have read at seriously the new netcode is always suffering some issues still.
