Just saw the sneak preview of the new Leonardo Dicaprio and Tom Hanks movie. Inspired by a true story, it chronicles 4 years of an amazing con artist. What makes it amazing is his age. He was only 19 when he got caught passing bum checks after he had reaped in over 4 million dollars in the late 60's.
At times the story lingers and gets drawn out. But the audience is mesmerized by the cleverness of the boy and the humor in his escapes. The movie has a lot of familiar faces and is very well acted by Hanks and Leo. Christopher Walken is always good. The costumes and vehicles are replicated to the 60's.
If you like true stories and cat-and-mouse chases you will enjoy this movie. I give it the Trooper's approval and recommend it as a good Sunday matinee movie.
