I am thinking about getting a new one. Price doesn't really matter, but I don't know what all is out there. Been thinking about the G4Ti4600 or the ATI 9700 pro (doesn't that have some issues with some games?)
Anyway, what is top of the line currently? Isn't there suppose to be a G4MX or something like that, coming out soon?

It's the GeForce FX and it's supposed to be out next February. Pricing is estimated at $399, just like today's ATI Radeon 9700 Pro.

That is what I plan on getting. Then I shouldn't have to upgrade my PC again for AT LEAST another month...

Yeah, so we can figure it to be initially available at about, what, like $360-$380? The 9700 now can be had for less than $280. I you were buying me a card today, I'd take the 9700. If I were in the market for a new card today, I would have to wait until the FX (not MX) cards come out. Then you can see both what the new cards will be capable of doing, and what the price difference will be in real terms. Even if you still went with the 9700, the new cards will push those prices even lower, or you may decide that the GeforceFX is just too sexy to not have, and would be very happy you waited.

I would really go for a FX card. That's my advice.

I would buy the 9700 PRO, get the 2 year TAP warrenty, and be happy.
If anyone does not know the TAP warrenty, it is at compusa. Say you paid $400 for the 9700 PRO, and the GForceFX comes out, you can exchange it for that card, no questions asked. GREAT WARRENTY!

Not in Poland... If you ask where it is, you'll get the point.
Once Geforce FX comes out, ATI's prices will most likely drop, so get ATI Radeon 9700 PRO once NV30 comes out.

Because of price or quality?

Probably price. Forget that. NVidia is about to blow the socks off of ATI again.
I am opting for the FX.

It doesn't matter what new card you have, you wouldn't have the system that could fully use it or games that aren't using. Before you upgrade your system or games will suport FX, you'll be probably waiting for Geforce GFX.
