I'm tired of being spammed, trash talked, camped, yelled at, insulted, and bothered by people using aliases. If I get beat I want to know who beat me instead of just "Player 1". This afternoon was the breaking point so while I watched the Lions secure the #2 pick, I started writing some software that will finally put an end to the alias debate. It's much further along than I planned and now I just have to setup the database and create a nice search engine.

Why don't you just ask people who they are? It is funny when I play with an alias, no one ever asks me who I am. Someone finally asked me last night and I told them who I was.
That is going to be some piece of work Sal, is it going to have a web interface and monitor all the servers? Will there be a database listing everyones IP? What about people with dynamic IP addresses? I don't see the logic behind it. I will admit that I play with aliases but I don't trash talk. You would be surprized at the so called respectable players that are a part of this community that trash talk you when you play with an alias. :rolleyes:

It will have a web interface for anyone to search. Server admins will have the ability to upload a log file and process it to update the db with the latest aliases. The db will keep track of IPs but will not display them to anybody. You will have the option to search using 2,3, or 4 sections of the IP address to account for dynamic IPs.
