Anyone playing Icewind Dale II?

If so have you advanced to the monastary yet and taken the 8 tests to become a monk? How in the hell did you get past the brass monks in the 8th room? I can't seem to do it, I was wondering if there was a trick to it...

I've been going to that site myself a milion times. Boy they helped me.
They have solutions for almost every game!

It was pain in the arse, until I figured to use cleric there. Use spells like Animate dead and Divine shell, or summon some elementals. :)

That monastery was the most annoying part of the game IMO. Luckily, the other places are TEH R0XX0R!!!11:D

Thanks everyone. I'll try that Haba, I didn't think it would let you use spells in there, I'll have to try that....summon a few monsters and stuff.....slap on some stone skin, too.

Update: Thanks Haba, I finally got through, only I used the Ranger and had him cast a ton of armor and protection spells. That way I was able to avoid enough damage while I cut those two brass monks up.

I never finished Icewind Dale, I got to the final boss only to find out its almost impossible, never did do it :unsure:


Irenicus and Sarevok from BG series were hard too but I smacked them down good :drink:

It has gotten pretty hard lately, especially with all the switches and crap you have to throw to get doors to open, etc.....But I'm gonna finish it come hell or high water! :cool:
