I loved 8 too. I just liked 7 more because it was the game that got me ito ROG's :mrgreen: 9 sucked ass though...:(

I agree with you. 9 sucked. BUt not the story... the battle system was just so dang SIMPLE. nothing to tweak or enjoy. 8 was so fun for that.

My all-time favorites are Final Fantasy 2 and 3 on SNES, Chrono Trigger, and Crystalis for NES.

yeah man. FFVIII had the bestest story. the whole "possesion" thing was really cool

My fav and will always be is the crono trigger on the SNES and also FF III these too were the most expensive games ever at 85 and 79 dollars repectively and the content was no slouch either

I played so many RPG's over the years, first on my NES, then my SNES, later my PS and now my PS2. It's hard to put my finger on a game and single it out as my favorite. So I will bestow the honor on not one but a handful of games, games that most of you may have played and if you have, then you know why it is on this short list.
Here we go (in no particular order)

FF 2,3,7
Secret of Mana
Chrono Trigger
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the past
Dragon Warrior (the first one for NES)
Also the Seventh Saga by Enix for SNES

My favorite game of all time is Final Fantasy II for the SNES I absolutly loveed that game. Hmmmm so many other kick ass games that I can't even begin to start. I know the biggest dissapointment to me was Final Fantasy VIII. That game wasn't all to good especially to its predissor. Sure the graphics were all nice and clean but the junction system sucked. But that's trial and error with battle systems I guess. Can't please everyone.

I do have to give FF 8 in the music department it was good there. But have you all heard of Final Fantasy X-2 coming out for the PS2 sometime next year? Its the first ever Final Fantasy direct sequal. Aperently FFX was so popular around the world that they decided to make a direct sequal to it staring Yuna and Riku and some other new girl. Its set for a release in Japan sometime next year and they don't know weither their gonna bring it to the states but seeing as how FFX was so popular I think they will. :wink:
