A pass-interference penalty should have been called against the San Francisco 49ers at the end of their wild 39-38 playoff victory, giving New York another chance to kick a game-winning field goal, said Mike Pereira, NFL director of officiating.


The refs ruled correctly that New York had an ineligible receiver downfield. But they did not throw a flag when Rich Seubert was yanked to the ground as he tried to catch a pass near the end zone after the Giants bungled the field-goal attempt.

Yada yada yada ya catch us on a 4 game losing steak, but the bottom line is who has the best record, who has home field advantage thru out the playoffs, who plays in the toughest division in the NFL, every team in the AFC west finished 500 or better.

Records dont really mattter... Look at the browns 9-7 and they made it in, they lost though to the Steelers&#39; come back.

Homefield advantage doesnt always help either. Look at the Packers. Favre 34-0 at home when temperature is cold. 13-0 in playoff games at Lambeau, Falcons come in and woop them.

Last year when the Raiders played the Jets at home they almost lost, the Jets were driving to the winning score but came up short, trust me I watched the entire game.

New Orleans lost to Cincinatti, Minnesotta, and Carolina (a combined 15-32 record between those teams).

Well see who gets elminated. Jets are equally just as good now.
