I just bought a new router
A sitecom router

If I start a server now
it isnt visible

Ulti used to have that too, but he opened all ports on his computer
but doesnt remember how ti do it\

it had something to do with DMZ and DNS....

my netwerk IP is 192.168.0.3

I typed 192.168.0.1 in my internet explorer
but after that I dont know what to do...

U have to set the DMZ option then all ports are open

just try to set the finishing port in sam to 25603 and try it then again

and reboot my computer

I enabled DMZ...

and finshed with 25603 at sam port..

But I need to open ALL ports...

and I think that had something to do with DNS...

u saved the changes u made in ur options?

open all these ports but change the ip address to ur ip instead of the one in the pic...this is to start a server in ssse

Bone, Look in your routers setup menu for something called a DHCP table to determine the correct IP for the machine you are gonna be running the server on. Once you have that go into the port forwarding menu and forward ports 25600 - 25603 both TCP & UDP and both IN & OUT (That's what I have to use on my Linksys) for the correct machine's IP on your LAN.
If you tried the DMZ option and it didn't work then you prob'ly are using the wrong machine's IP, Again look in the DHCP table to see the correct one.

BTW Using the DMZ option IMO is a bad idea, Especially since you posted those pictures. :blink:

You need to make sure the router considers your computer the DMZ host. Do a ipconfig at a command prompt to find out your ip if you can&#39;t find the table and configure that IP to be the DMZ.

What do you recomment besides DMZ..
i cant find DHCP

Using your router&#39;s firewall port forwarding feature is the safest way. If you go the DMZ route you might as well just drop you britches for the whole world to see. :blink: :P

hmmm interesting. I have a D-Link router, and same problems, but I will let you help him first, and then I might be able to figure it out from what everyone says :thumbs:

do not enable dmz host&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33; whats the point of having firewall if you do? do what shogun said (glad i don&#39;t have to type it) using ip forwarding to your intranet pc ip assigning the sam ports to it.

Add a new server and give it your 192.168.0.3 IP address along with the 25600 and 25601 UDP and TCP ports.

If it won&#39;t let you add all this on one server, add four servers, one for each port.
