UT Game Tonight (9-19) 7p EST - BOMBING RUN!

Tonight (9-19) at 7:00pm EST we will have a Bombing Run match on the GameMecca.net-=St.Louis=-1 server. I will set the game for a minimum of 6 players so if nobody joins, it will at least be a 3v3. If you haven't played yet, try an Instant Action game on your own machine to get the hang of it.

The object of Bombing Run is simple. There are two teams and 1 ball set in the middle of the map. The object is to grab the ball and either shoot it into the opponent goal for 3 points or run it through for 7. If you get fragged you fumble the ball and you can pass by shooting the ball to another player. Strategy is a major part of Bombing Run and is my personal favorite. I hope to see you guys there!

I played it the other night in a server called low gravity? It was fun, but getting used to the low gravity feel was weird. Is there some sort of setting for that, or do you fly around in all bombing run games?

The low gravity is a mutator you can set along with Instagib. I would like to play with Instagib but not low gravity. That depends on if I can get the mutator to set through the web admin. It wouldn't work last night.

Worst case we will just play BR with normal weapons and normal gravity.

Yeah it was also instagib. The primary weapon was the shock rifle. It would be cool to have normal gravity, because it was hard as hell to hang on to the ball. Normal with instagib would rock!

You have to use GameSpy Arcade to find the server for some reason. It doesn't show up in the game's gay-ass browser.

What sucks is you don't get points for killing anybody unless you are defending and kill the carrier.

Yeah dito that! Sal definately can kick butt though! The 2 games I played he scored like all the points, and one game he got a perfect score! Right on man!
